FFEU President Rabbi Marc Schneier joined Pix 11 News Closeup with Marvin Scott to talk about the rise of anti-Semitic crimes in New York City

The NYPD released new statistics this week that show overall crime has reached a record low in the city.

However, a closer look reveals there’s actually been an increase in certain crimes, including homicides and shootings. There has also been a 26 percent spike in anti-Semitic hate crimes, almost a dozen last month alone.

We hear from the NYPD Chief of Department Terry Monahan, Rabbi Marc Schneier and ADL Regional Director Evan Bernstein on what may be behind this rise in anti-Semitism and what’s being done to keep New Yorkers safe.
