Co-Founded by Rabbi Marc Schneier, this year marks the 35th anniversary of The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding - the Global Address for Muslim-Jewish Relations and the National Address for Black-Jewish Relations.

Never in our lifetime has there been a more desperate need for constructive and committed dialogue - among individuals, faith communities, cultures, and nations.

Muslim-Jewish Relations

In 2007, FFEU pioneered and became the global address for Muslim-Jewish relations. Our programs span over 30 countries with a vast network of grassroots organizations across the globe. Our global partners include heads of state, eminent Muslim and Jewish religious leaders, political dignitaries, civil society organizations, women, youth, academia, and individuals committed to promoting the highest standards of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.

Grassroots Partners

We leverage partnerships in over 30 countries to implement mutually reinforcing initiatives promoting intercultural and interfaith dialogue.

Black-Jewish Relations

FFEU was founded in 1989 while tensions were increasing between the Jewish and African-American communities. For over three decades, FFEU has been instrumental in working to strengthen this historic alliance that reshaped America and awakened its conscience. As a result, FFEU was honored by the United States Congress in 2014 as the National Address for Black-Jewish relations.
