President of Foundation for Ethnic Understanding hails multiculturalism and tolerance in Azerbaijan

Baku, October 9, AZERTAC

President of the US-based Foundation for Ethnic Understanding Marc Schneier has hailed multicultural and tolerant environment in Azerbaijan as he met with chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade in Baku.

He said the world community highly appreciates Azerbaijan’s achievements in the field of multiculturalism.

Schneier commended the Azerbaijani government for creating equal opportunities for people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds, including the Jewish community, to live in peace and harmony in the country. He also praised US-Azerbaijan relations.

Allahshukur Pashazade said that for many centuries the Azerbaijani society has had deep respect for multicultural values.
