Alexander A. Mashkevitch
President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC)

Dr. Alexander Mashkevitch was born on February 23, 1954, in Bishkek city, Kyrgyzstan.

1976 — Graduated from the Kyrgyz State University.
1981 — received PhD degree in Pedagogic.
2004 — received DSC degree in History.
1987 — became engaged in business activities.

Currently Mr. Mashkevitch is:

- Co-founder of Kazakhstan mineral resources corporation and Eurasian Financial-Industrial Company,
- CEO of Eurasian Bank (Kazakhstan),
- President of Eurasian Industrial Association (EIA, Kazakhstan).

Jewish activities of Mr. Mashkevitch include:

Since 1999 — elected President of the Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan (JCK),
Since 2001 — Executive Board member of the European Jewish Congress (EJC),
Since 2002 — elected President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC),
Since 2004 — member of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) Steering Committee,
Since 2005 — elected President of KEREN HAYESOD (United Israel Appeal) in the FSU.
